Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

Today’s edition of Nationwide featured stories from Maryland, Lofa, Margibi, River Cess and Grand Bassa Counties. Most of these stories are about livelihood, local developments and education.
Here are some of the stories we are carrying:

  • A cross border cooperation meeting between Liberians and Ivorians ends in Maryland County
  • Ninety five young people receive start up kits after completing a six month skills training in Lofa County
  • Members of the Christian Association of the Blind are calling for help against criminal entry in their homes in the R2 Community in Margibi County.
